The Kottenheimer Winfeld
Out of the Kottenheimer Winfeld flowed, 200,000 years ago, the strongest of the three Bellerberg volcano lava streams. The continual excavation since over 2000 years has created an idyllic quarry landscape. Numerous cranes, crane pedestals and retaining walls bear witness to the intense activity of bygone days.
